Coming out off a serious bender, Octo wakes to find its self somewhere in the desert. Scorched almost to the point of being surume, Octo prepares its self for death. Then at the last second a figure emerges from the rolling waves of heat, dressed in rags and carrying a large travel bag. Unable to see Octo based on its impressive camouflage. The stranger stumbles directly over Octo. Seeing this pathetic creature clinging to life the stranger is struck by a sudden realization. Giving this terrifying creature the last of his water, Octo begins to recover. Still dazed and severely dehydrated the man gets Octo to its tentacles and coaxes it to walk. They walk for many miles until a light faint at first grows on the horizon. Approaching a large glowing city the stranger throws Octo a trench coat from his bag. Understanding without words Octo dawns the coat and attempts to fit in. Standing an inconspicuous 9ft tall (at its smallest) with tentacles for feet and arms. Not knowing, but having the most peculiar feeling that this creature was running from something, Much like himself. The stranger takes OctoStrange to the one place that he believes they will be safe, Skid Row.

Meanwhile the detectives, unable to catch Octo in San Diego board a plane at L.A. X on route back to Washington. The whole of L.A. county is on high alert after the "Terrorist Attack" at the San Diego Zoo. With military police closing in and every citizen on the look out for any suspicious characters. Will this finally be Octos undoing? Trapped in the concrete jungle, will OctoStrange Escape From L.A.?
